A Fun Girl’s Weekend in Pella, Iowa!

May 12, 2012

Hello everyone!  I truly hope you are having a great weekend!  Happy Mother’s Day to any Mom reading this….I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow!   Truly, you haven’t “lived” until you attend The Tulip Festival in Pella, Iowa.    My sister-in-law, Julie Bogaards Holt, is originally from Pella.  She was so sweet to invite my Mom and I to the famous festival  last weekend.  WOW!  I am STILL thinking about all of the wonderful food, Dutch dancing, parades and, fun fellowship we shared!  Pella is a Dutch town and, nearly EVERY citizen in that town helps throw this amazing festival, every year!  I was deeply encouraged to see the spirit of this “small town, USA”  and they hosted thousands for this awesome weekend.  You REALLY need to go and see this sometime!   Pella, Iowa is a charming and hospitable town!  You won’t regret it!
