Buffalo Fried Chicken Appetizer

November 2, 2015

Monday evening in Memphis and, it is pitch black at 5:20 p.m.  Feels more like 9:00 p.m.   These days take me several weeks to get used to.    I’m thinking about wonderful and easy comfort food to serve while our Thanksgiving company is here this year.    This easy appetizer is warm and quick to assemble.

Buffalo Fried Chicken Appetizer:

2 packages cream cheese, softened

1 package ranch dip mix

5 fried chicken strips ( I purchase at grocery store deli), cut in bite size pieces

1/2  jar Buffalo sauce or hot sauce ( I love Louisiana Hot Sauce brand )  or Pete’s Hot Sauce

1 package blue Cheese crumbles

Directions:

Mix cream cheese and ranch dip mix until blended.  Spread mixture in bottom of 9 x 13  glass baking dish.  Arrange chicken bite pieces over top of cream cheese mixture.   Pour Buffalo sauce over chicken.   Add more or less, depending on your taste.   Top with blue cheese crumbles. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.   Serve warm with corn chips.   DELISH!

Perfect for tailgating!  ENJOY!
