Easy Valentine’s Day Centerpiece

February 8, 2014

Valentine’s Day is such a fun and sweet holiday….I love celebrating my husband, family and special friends on this great day!  I enjoyed assembling these cute centerpieces for a teacher breakfast at my boy’s school this past week.  Really simple and, you only need 5 items to get these ready.  Make one or ten….they look great in a cluster or ‘standing’ alone.  Do you need a Valentine’s Day “happy” for a close friend or family member?  These are easy to deliver and, are sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Supplies:

Extra large canning jar (or jars)

1 dozen carnations, cut stems short (2-3 inches) and rubberbanded together

1 glass votive holder

1 1/2 sacks large conversation candy hearts

1 1/2 yards wire ribbon of your choice

STEP 1:  Fill a large glass canning jar with large conversation candy hearts

STEP 2:  Place a glass votive jar , filled  3/4 full with water, on top of the candy hearts, down in the jarSTEP 3:  Cut the carnation stems short and rubberband together.   Place the cluster of flowers in the votive vaseSTEP4:  Tie a ribbon of your choice around the vase in either a bow or a knot, depending on your style These look GREAT clustered together on a flat surface!

These are so festive and FUN to make!  The best part….you will truly MAKE someone’s day with this sweet gift.  These would also look AWESOME lined up down the middle of a table for a Valentine’s luncheon or dinner.    Enjoy this easy project!    Living With Flair,  Beth
