Getting HEALTHY ~ Summer 2015 ~ My Favorite Protein Shake

Happy SUMMER Everyone!   Summer 2015 is off to a great start in our family and, I truly hope you can say the same!   Several months ago, my dear husband began eating SO healthy and, mostly, he follows the Whole 30 program.   He has inspired me to eat more healthy, and, it is really amazing, this style of eating makes me feel more energetic and, more productive.

We also try to eat foods that are low fat and high in protein.   I love this blueberry protein shake that I make several times each week for breakfast,  This shake fills me up for several hours and, it is super healthy!

Beth’s Blueberry Protein Shake:

1 1/2 cups organic Almond Milk-  No sugar added

1 Cup Naked brand Green Machine Boost, ready made

2 handfuls frozen blueberries,  organic – if possible  (high in antioxidants)

1 scoop organic whey protein powder

1 Tablespoon all natural cocoa powder (proven to be good for you!)

Place all ingredients in the blender or, NUTRIBULLET.   Blend well and enjoy.  *I highly recommend this high speed blender!   We have had this for over 4 years and, it works GREAT!

Get your summer 2015 off to a great and HEALTHY start!   You will FEEL better and have more energy!   Don’t forget to exercise too!   Four days a week for 30 minutes is a great start!   A brisk walk around the block,  jogging, a step class, lifting weights…..there are SO many great ways to get your exercises done.   The main thing is BE POSITIVE and take one day at a time.  You can do it!   Enjoy this summer day!
