The leaves are starting to fall around our home and, the high in Memphis, TN today was 70 degrees…absolutely glorious! Are you ready to decorate your home? Or….perhaps you already have? Well, either way, I want to show you some easy ways that I have decorated our home for fall, both inside and out.
Each year, the fall season and, Halloween too, get me SO excited!!!! I love the pretty fall colors all around, especially the colors of the leaves.
Ready, Set….FALL! Here are 10 decoration ideas for you.…enjoy!!!!
#1) Simply display a cute fall book in your kitchen on an easel. I love to collect cute Halloween or Fall cookbooks. This book was purchased several years ago at Williams-Sonoma.
#2) Add a cute ceramic pumpkin, paired with a great smelling fall candle, displayed on your kitchen stove. The candle is from Target. I add decorative pumpkins to my collection, each year. I’ve had this particular one for years and, I still adore it! #3) I love to hang a pretty fall wreath right above my kitchen sink. The fall ribbon adds a cute touch. The wreath came from Michael’s Craft Store. #4) How cute! Festive fall paper straws! My kids just LOVE to use one as they sip their milk. I found these at JoAnn’s Craft Store. So cute displayed in a favorite bowl, right on your kitchen counter. #5) CUTE! Pumpkin jelly candy! You can find these almost everywhere! These came from Big Lots. I’ve displayed these in a cute bowl, on my entry hall table. The pumpkin ceramic bowl is from Hobby Lobby. #5) Hang a fun Halloween wreath on your front door. I made this wreath in 3 quick steps. Find a pretty fall berry wreath at any local craft store. Simply wire a “spooky” spider on to the wreath. My little “spider friend” came from my local Kroger store. Hang the wreath with a cute piece of fall wire ribbon. #6) I love these cute ‘spooky’ Halloween cat stakes. I have 2 staked in front of the potted boxwoods that flank my front door. So cute! I bought these at Hobby Lobby last year. #7) Aren’t the chalkboard decorations such a cute way to decorate? I’ve had this fall chalkboard for several years. A friend gave it to me and, I’m sorry, I do not have a store name for you. I LOVE this ! It works indoors or outdoors. This year, I have it sitting outside my back door. What a great way to welcome my “back door friends”. #8) Here is a decorative display… at my back door again. Mr. Rabbit receives a new bowtie for each holiday….he has been with me over 15 years! I love how this cluster of decorations came together. Be sure and decorate, not only your front entrance , but your back entrance as well, I mean, why not??? The cute copper jack-o-lantern candle holder was purchased at Kirkland’s.#9) I LOVE collecting Fall and Halloween little decorative pillows! You can always find a couch or a chair to display one. What a fun little ‘pop’ of fall! This pillow was purchased years ago in Canton, Texas at the First Monday Trade Days. I displayed this pillow in our sun room this year. This flea market, located in east Texas is a MUST, if you have never been! One of the largest flea markets in the USA…..you will never want to leave! #10) I collect white ceramic pumpkins too! You can never have too many fall decorations, in my opinion. I found these precious white mini pumpkin tureens at Kroger last year….of all places! So cute and, they are precious for holding fall candy or, even sugar packets, set out near your coffee maker. You never know what you might find at your local grocery store….all you need to do is keep your eyes open on the seasonal aisle….so CUTE! If I remember correctly, these little tureens were only $4.00 each. These would also be GREAT for a fall hostess gift or fall “happy” to give to a friend. I love a cute and inexpensive gift! Ready, set….FALL! I truly hope some of these decorative ideas will set you in motion to decorate your home or your office. Fall decorations truly lift your spirits and, you can enjoy them from now….all the way through Thanksgiving…SO worth your time to go ahead and decorate right away!!!
Enjoy the cooler temperatures, as they arrive in your area. Happy Fall Ya’ll!
