Valentine’s Dinner Party

February 18, 2012

Valentine SettingMy husband and I were blessed to host a Valentine’s Dinner Party this past Tuesday night.  Including us, there were 8 couples.  What fun!  We dined on wonderful beef tenderloin, spinach casserole, macaroni and cheese, salad and hot rolls.  The most helpful part?  I was in charge of the main course and each lady brought an item.  This is an easy way to feed a larger group, everyone “pitches in”.

We even played a fun “Newlywed Game” type  game, where the women answered a question and, our husbands had to guess what we wrote down.  There was much laughter in the room!

I had such fun setting the tables.  I seated 8 people in the dining room and, 8 in our living room.   I decorated the tables with paper hearts, cut from tissue paper and, fresh flower arrangements.  I always enjoy an occasion when I use our fine china and crystal.  Fancy and Fun!!!

VALENTINE FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS Where to buy:  Place cards from Michaels’s; china is Eternal by Lenox; red wine goblets are from Target; clear crystal wine goblets are Lady Anne by Gorham; monogrammed napkins are from Pottery Barn, Vintage milk glass vase belonged to my husband’s grandmother.
